Fantastic hand drawn boards on this 1700's hand crafted wood pegged storage trunk. This is a very old storage chest or trunk and was crafted with hand hewn wood boards with a and is also wooden pegged with blacksmith forged strap hinges. The construction of this chest point to Circa 1600's with a French hand-polished finish. Nice taller sized primitive trunk. Some worm holes. Has a very interesting design with creative carvings on the lid and truly a wonderful primitive storage and display piece.
