Very Large Circa Early 16-1700's Antique Blacksmith hand Forged Goosewing Axe with a long 17" cutting edge. Right handed design, solid handle. Axe has a 17" cutting edge. Has two great makers marks (KW & FW). This wonderful example has an applied steel edge (still very shape) and a ancient black smith repair. It also has 12 dots connected by dashes to make a diamond shape. This early 17-18th century antique axe has all the charming characteristics of a collectors item that will be sure to start many engaging conversations. This is what Goose wing Axes are all about. Truly a one of a kind collectible.
