THIS ITEM IS SOLD
Circa 18th century wool yarn or flax spinning box.  After yarn was spun on spinning wheel various tools were used to wind up finished product.  Convenient way to put yarn in a ball to be used in the knitting process.  Wood box with forged steel retaining wheel and rod.  Unique vintage piece of primitive history.
