Circa 18th Century tinned iron candle lantern.
The square cone roof lantern helped deflect heat from the lantern and allowed air for burning. The lamp has some original tinning, but mostly is antiqued metal look. It has two glass windows with a steel X over the glass to protect if from breakage, one of which is in the door. Great pierced tin design. This is a great Old World Heirloom exclusive piece of primitive lighting recommended for any ancient lighting collection.
