Circa 1820's ornate cooking jam pot with a very heavy brass handle with serpent looped handle hinges. Medium size in stature, heavy in design with a wonderful old patina, hammered design throughout make this an extraordinary 19th century piece and you can just imagine the many uses of this primitive cooking jam pot. There is a repeating hammered design with fish and this post is dovetailed on bottom. Shows all the great patina of an antiquated piece.
