THIS ITEM IS SOLD - Very rare pewter syrup pitcher. It has a figural on thumb latch on the lid, which looks like a man with a helmet on his head that resembles some sort of animal with a scorpion's type looking tail protruding from the back of it. On the handle, looks like a man with a flowery shirt on. Makers marks on the bottom are, "tiny scales of justice with Meriden B. Company circling them". The number 180, and "Patented Oct. 24. 1865" Also it has a syrup reservoir, so when pouring if any syrup comes back, it will work its way back into the pitcher not on the side of the pitcher or you.
