SOLD - 1837 Antique Shipbuilder's Axe

THIS ITEM IS SOLD -
1837 dated Blacksmith Forged makers mark L & J White stamped in steel.
Right Handed side axe with curved octagonal shaped original handle. This axe was used by a shipbuilder on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers during the 1800's. Fantastic piece of American history.
Size: 33.5" H (with handle) x 11" x W 6.5" cutting blade.
