Large Hand Forged Antique Cast Iron Ice Tongs

Very large hand forged antique ice tongs. These tongs were used in the 19th century to extract large ice blocks from lakes. The blocks were cut with the saw seen in the adjacent pictures. The ice blocks were then covered with hay and stored in barns for use in the later months of summer. The saw is sold separately.
