Equestrian Horse Brass with Fish
Part Number FHB-11-c046
Equestrian Horse Brass with Fish in good original condition. Old World Heirloom Primitive Collectible. Shows signs of use and age - Please see pictures.

The origin of the horse brass goes back many centuries, when man first used the horse extensively on land. The superstitions prevalent at that time required a symbol to protect the horse from accident or injury, and horse brasses were believed to have supernatural powers to ward off evil spirits and prevent catastrophe. There are hundreds of designs with origins in the past, and even today new designs are being created to commemorate places of interest, historical buildings, and even famous individuals in society. Horse brasses have become the greatest item for collectors over generations.
