Circa mid 1700's Hand Crafted Wood Pegged Storage Trunk.
This ancient style storage chest or trunk was crafted with hand hewn wood boards and pegged. No way to tell the actual age but all signs point to Circa mid 1700's and before. Dovetailed Corners and lid. Very nice large sturdy primitive trunk with large hand forged strap hinges, wonderful oversized wrought iron handles,original key and locking mechanism. A couple worm holes for age sake, hand French polished finish. This piece has a large storage capacity and will display nicely in any decor.
