Description
Circa 1880's wool yarn or flax spinning box with four small hand carved legs and cast wheel on a wooden spindle. After yarn was spun on spinning wheel various tools were used to wind up finished product. Convenient way to put yarn in a ball to be used in the knitting process. Wood box with forged steel retaining wheel and rod. Unique vintage piece of primitive history. Shows signs of use and age - Please see pictures.
