Circa 1800's very large redware molasses Ovoid Jar. This is fully glazed. Earthenware vase type piece with two upper handles. Hand thrown used for olive oil or carrying water but we believe this jar was used for storing molasses as some residue is present. Very solid piece as no cracks or chips present, but has some minor glaze flaking. It was found stowed away in a small farmhouse in a Romanian village, in the mountains of Transylvania . Fantastic Old World Heirloom.
