Circa 18th Century tinned iron candle lantern.
The square cone roof lantern helped deflect heat from the lantern and the slots and open chimney allowed air for burning. The lamp has some original tinning design with a very interesting pattern, but mostly is antiqued metal look. It has four glass windows with three steel bars over the glass to protect if from breakage, one of which is in the door. This is a great Old World Heirloom exclusive piece of primitive lighting recommended for any ancient lighting collection.
