Circa early 1700's antique carinthian blacksmith forged long broad axe. Double beveled axe has a 24"cutting edge. Solid handle with a section chipped out. This early 18th century antique Carinthian Mountain axe has four maker's marks "JK". This particular axe is very heavy and wide with a very thick blade and has all the characteristics of a collectors item that will be sure to start many conversations. Will look extremely captivating hanging on a wall or in that lit display case. A wonderful blacksmith forged piece of history.
