Description
Circa late 1700's-1800's hand-crafted sea farers storage trunk.
This coffin style storage chest or trunk was often used by immigrants to ship there belongings across the ocean as they traveled abroad, many times to escape persecution or look for a better life. Dovetailed corners hand forged square nails and forged strap hinges and handles. Very nice large sturdy primitive trunk with french polished finish. This piece has a large storage capacity will display nicely in any decor.
