This large bowl is engraved "J.L. Guntz 1855" but bowl is believed to date to the 1770's because of the markings. There are 3 hallmarks on the back of the bowl. This pewter bowl is 11.75" inches round. It is in very nice condition, would make a great display item. Extremely large and hard to find pewter bowl with a 1.25" lip, which because of the difficulty working with pewter are scarce.
