Antique blacksmith forged adze with forged maker's mark initials BSF.
Original solid handle. Great large hand forged adze with sharp cutting edge. Has a metal separation at the head hole which in no way affects the adze or it's usage.
Many years ago a collector began to acquire these ancient tools and we are the recipient of a large quantity of fine tools ranging from the 1600's through the 1800's. A large stash are still stored in the mountainous region of Transylvania and let us know if you have any requests as we filter them to the US.
