Stanley Smooth Plane No 36. Knurled brass adjustment nut and flat bed. This plane was designed with a step or razee. The patenet date seems to be 1888 but both patent are slight obscured. this plane was produced from 1870-1934. Front knob has a crack as does the casting, though minor. rear horn seems looks to be missing the top section as it appears to be irregular in shape. Great utilitarian adjustable plane for that woodworker or Stanley tool collector. Very hard to find collectable that could use a little TLC. But this piece displays wonderfully.
