Antique pewter plate. This plate has three makers marks on back, two smaller circles with the initials G B M in them, and the word FIN on the top part of the circle, the last is a larger circle also with FIN on top, ETAIN DANGLETERRE and the word METRA around edges, in the middle a hand holding a tree. Also the letters M and A. Very nice pewter plate in very good condition.
Ownership Marks
Owners often had their initials applied by the pewterer. Often it will consist of two or three initials in a straight line or they'll be in a triangle, the center or higher initial being the surname and the other two the forenames of the husband and wife.
