Circa 1700's Hand Forged Goosewing Axe
Two nice maker's marks with additional decorations including truncated swirling sun stamps connected by celtic arches with additonal swirling suns (10 total), small stress crack, also has applied added steel cutting edge, solid wood handle. Beautiful example of an ancient (Circa 1500-1700's) decorated axe. Great piece for the office or home wall or private collection.
