Highly decorated with fleur de lis, pin wheel and roulle or rosette carved moulding plane dated "1869". Has an ancient round slice or pinwheel, also a swirling roulle or rosette common in many ancient French tools. The book l'outil by Paul Feller/Fernand Tourret has a pinwheel design with the swirling roulle or rosette next to it on a wood plane dating to 1650.
