Circa mid 1700's heavy brass pharmaceutical mortar and pestle. This is a handsome larger brass mortar with pestle. Nice aged brass look. We have tried to retain the patina while lightly cleaning. Truly a unique piece of medical and Pharmaceutical History. One can only imagine the concoctions and portents that were created in these ancient pieces of medical/pharmaceutical history. Great piece for that vintage collector or start your own fine collection of unique and rare brass Mortar's and pestle's. Has a great loud clear ring like a expensive made bell.
