Circa mid to late 1700's heavy brass pharmaceutical mortar and pestle. This is a handsome medium to small sized brass Knurled mortar with pestle. Covered with some aged blue patina and is well aged. We have tried to retain the patina while lightly cleaning. Truly a fine collectable piece of medical and Pharmaceutical History. One can only imagine the concoctions and portents that were created in these ancient pieces of medical/pharmaceutical history.
Great piece for that vintage collector or start your own fine collection of unique and rare brass Mortar's and pestle's. Has a great loud clear ring like a expensive made bell.
