Circa late 1700's heavy brass pharmaceutical mortar and pestle. This is a handsome mid sized brass Knurled mortar with pestle. Covered heavily with aged Blue patina. We have tried to retain the patina while lightly cleaning. Truly a unique piece of medical and Pharmaceutical History. One can only imagine the concoctions and portents that were created in these ancient pieces of medical/pharmaceutical history.
