Dated "1824" this large hand drill has forged iron and a beautiful patina.  A forerunner of out modern battery powered hand tools,  this piece is a masterpiece of fine craftmanship.  It has extremely charming decoration stamped into the body of the brace.  The drill itself is removable through a latching mechanism.  A wonderful piece of history for that collector or woodworker.  Would look great on any wall or display area.
