1700's Decorated Very Rare Barrel Latch
Part Number TBL-01-001E
Beautiful very rare barrel latch.   Ornate engraved design of  X 's and dots in between with horizontal lines on end.   A barrel bolt is the designated timber or metal bar which secures the draft doors at the front of larger drums against the pressure exerted by the liquid inside.  The draft door is used to empty the barrel and be cleaned.
